Match Report for Varsity Soccer v Rumsey on Wednesday October 1st, 2008

For the second time this season, DDS ran up against a very strong team, this time in the form of Rumsey who had at least three very talented people. One of these players scored all four goals of the game in the first half. Danielle, again was exceptional in goal and in the second half in particular, our defense played very well indeed. Our main problem at the moment is getting forward and scoring goals. Although our forwards strived to maintain possesion of the ball, our attacks frequently broke down due to some stout Rumsey defending and our inability to use the width of the field effectively. Alex and Andrew were our most effective forwards in this game and both pushed forward with some success. A goaless second half provided some comfort for our improving performance as the game progressed.
