Squash v Westover School (Away) on Wednesday January 23rd 2008

In terms of a result, we lost the the match 9 to 1. However, when all is said and done, it has to be known that all the DDS players played remarkably well considering the difference in age and experience between the two teams. This was not a high school "Thirds" team, but a High School Junior Varsity team that play matches twice a week against other High School teams. In terms of valuable experience, this match was terrific. Kayleigh Bhangdia did pull off the only upset of the afternoon with a gritty display of athleticism and varied stroke play. On January 13th, we will re-visit Westover and play their "Thirds" team which I am assured will be a more even match. One thing I have to say, is that our team learned the protocols associated with playing a competitive game at High School level!
