Field Hockey v Mizzentop - Monday Sept 22nd, 2008

Field Hockey beat Mizzentop on Monday in their first game of the season by a score of 2-0. The team looked great in their home opener. Sophie Perekslis and Elizabeth Quarteraro put shots in for DDS in the second quarter, making the score 2-0 where it stayed for the remainder of the game. All players kept up the intensity throughout the game and DDS kept the ball in their offensive half of the field for most of the game, limiting Mizzentop to only two penalty corners throughout all four quarters. The youngest members of the team, the fifth graders Ellery Smith, Claudia Lamprecht and Danielle O'Callaghan all performed well and made great contributions in their first game playing field hockey.
